This room is inspired by the sound that can be heard when a bird murmuration flies close to the ground. The collective beating of wings is astonishingly beautiful and feels almost celestial to witness.

I created this room with Ulrika Tallving and we used a combination of machine cut ice panels and 3D hand carved ice forms that we glued together to form a kind of lace like wall of birds. We made an iceberg bed that is evocative of the migratory paths that many flocks take over great stretches of sea.
